I have never paid for self-storage and have never understood why they are so popular. I've known people paying for a self-storage unit to store furniture they are also still making payments on.
I have written my own honeypots to reduce the false positive rate. I simply have things like a VM with RDP and SSH open to the internet and any IP that tries to login gets banned at the firewall for x days. It works really well.

A competent gov't would keep maps of projected future shorelines, and enforce very wide "no build", "no mortgage", and "no insurance" zones. OTOH, that would require both a great deal of effort, and a great deal of political resolve. Vs. Congress can't manage to deal with even the immediate mess that the article describes.
I've definitely seen roundabouts that were a downgrade. Primarily these have been placed on rural highways where the cross road just had a stop sign before, which was good enough for the light cross traffic and did not impede the primary road the way a roundabout does.
The statistics and my experience disagree. Those stop signs lead to a lot of people blowing through them at high speed and plenty of deaths, especially in the dark.
Every time I find myself on one of the roads that has a series of roundabouts, I have to maneuver at least once to avoid getting into an accident with a driver who has no idea how to drive through a roundabout.
They replaced a intersection near me that would get backed up very badly during rush hour with a roundabout that has a much higher capacity and never seems to get backed up.
