I'm among those who hate it... it's worse than change for the sake of change & not being functional, it makes things less functional. The thumbnails under the video are annoying, but now to get more info on the video you need to click a few extra times to minimize your playlist & then click a few different 'more'... then it's squished in the stupid side column. Just frustrating wonky mechanics. The search results now are less useful too in a single column. If I wanted to use an app, I'd be on a phone or a tablet... forcing the app experience on desktop never works. I've reported it via 'send feedback' every day since it rolled out, lol.
That does sound like a pain. I don't inherently hate moving comments to the side, the narrowness actually makes some sense for that and it's a cleaner way to read comments along with the video playing, but things like moving video detail dropdowns from being below the video to hidden in the side as well are a bit much.
yeah, if it were 'just' the comments... go for it. but put the details back under & give a little buffer between the row of icons. it's not like the couldn't make whatever is under the video (comments or thumbnails) independently scrollable...

same for Google News... I hate having news customized based on what you assume my interests are and considering a bunch of shitty sources as relevant. Like you figured out I like marvel movies, way to go... hard pass on rumors and theories about plots. Hey I watched some youtube videos about the economy... guess it's time for the news to gaslight me for a few months and show anything that might spark fear of things outside my control.
I hope you let her know that she shouldn't be ashamed. These people take advantage of the good nature of others. It's also something they work at every day to improve their ability to take advantage of others, fix the mistakes that caused the last con to fail so that the next person will be at an even greater disadvantage. Learn the lesson & move on.
I listened to the audiobook for 'The Perfect Predator' (https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Perfect-Predator-Audiobook/15...) ... was a good story and amazing he survived with so few long term complications. They were certainly well connected, but he also was very resilient being able to recover from (if memory serves) multiple rounds of sepsis & organ failure.
Jellyfin is great... client apps for roku & ios plus a web interface cover all my devices. Minimal setup, just run it from a docker container. Has been super stable for me for a few years now.

Jellyfin has had “coming soon” next to Samsung and LG tvs for over 2-3 years. Not much use without native apps considering how awful the built in browsers are.
I found it awful, on a Raspberry pi 4. Scanning through 2TB of movies on a NAS (gbit nic) took days. No visible indication of progress or where it's stuck. When it's done and there's a load of stuff missing, there's no clear way to find out what it ignored and why, so all you can do it manually go through every movie that it didn't find (easier said than done). I fought with it for 2 weeks and dumped it for Kodi and a direct attached 4tb hdd. Kodi finished the scan super quick and just works.
That's a huge issue with supplements if you ask me. Is the government doing anything to stop this? Do they test random samples and fine/ban the company from selling?
