I think the end user will benefit from any of this happening. As a user myself, I'm so tired of "forced ads", which makes me think a high percentage of ads revenue is fake/generated, not genuine.

Another impact in some countries is the fact that these appointments typically happen in one location (where the embassy is based), and people with appointments often arrange travel and sometimes lodging around these appointments. For a lot of people, this will have some extra financial impact.
