I live next to a college. The Sororities will hold car washes. Of course, they ask us to get out of the car first, so that Cheerleading movie w/ Kristen Dundst lied. :-)

I think I may have an autistic affinity for washing machines, but I would LOVE to own a laundromat. I feel like this would fit into the self storage/ car wash category.

My (late) kid brother did that for a number of years. Big time sink and PITA.

too many moving parts lol

There's a guy Investment Joy on YouTube who you would probably enjoy watching, then. Just a pretty normal guy who runs a few small businesses. I think he has at least one car wash and a laundromat among other things. He talks about the various costs and problems, too.

Oh actually, yes - that comes up once in a while as well.

Take a picture of the Speaker while they talk. So many times they forget to get pictures. Then send it to them on LinkedIn and you will forever be in their messages feed as that "nice person who took my picture."

Just make sure it's a nice picture!

Brilliant! I usually roll my eyes at technical analogies, but yours holds.

Thank you, appreciate the feedback!!

I guess I'm a heartless engineer, because I could never imagine myself loving (obsessing over) someone so much that I would feel a need to check in on them 2,000 times.

Funny story... an incredibly famous rapper got his start because his manager, Shane Morris used Mechanical Turk to get engagement on Spotify before Spotify began to detect that vector.

It means to disagree in a playful, teasing and confident way. You can even take it to an absurd level: "I like your dress except I hate the color blue."

FWIW I love 90s ads, especially the video game ads. Electronic Gaming Monthly would bombard you with "extreme in your face 'tude" for even the most prosaic games. I loved the Gaiares ad, with a mulleted, chain wearing professional gamer Jamie Bunker saying "this game really smokes."

I decided to put the goal of making friends on "Hard Mode." I quit drinking.

I never drank in public, is that hard mode too? I quit as well.
