A few days ago, different outlets reported Google Drive's data loss [0–2]. I wanted to check the status, but the original Google Support forum thread seems to be missing. (I took the link from the articles referenced below.)

Google says this issue didn't impact files that had already been synced to Google Drive [3], but, if I remember correctly, is not what the users reported.

Weird.

They probably had that forum's DB stored on Google Drive.

You never know! There was a story a few years ago about a company that used Dropbox as source code version control (and/or for deployment).
